One thing I was taught growing up is to never forget to mention those who helped you along the way. Being a founder for a nonprofit is no different. From a stranger, acquaintance, someone you interact every day that believes in the mission and wants to help with goods, services, or monetary contributions.
Sometimes it is easy to overlook or forget to mention someone or their act of kindness. That is why in our busy world I mention “anyone unintentionally forgot to mention “Because I truly want to extended acknowledgement to each one of you because without you, I could not do what I do, and I do not want to do it without you.

13th Annual Thanksgiving in the Harbor bit.ly/the411thanksgivingintheharbor is an event we continue having a tradition on Thanksgiving with Maya Mexican Restaurant.
As a non profit we always need help to up our game in assisting the community. The last couple of years weather has not been in our favor cold winds, hard rain has made our transportation from Boys & Girls Clubs of the Los Angeles Harbor to MAYA Mexican Restaurant to serve hot meals.
It’s time to invest in warmers and thanks to the community this was possible.

This was one of the first partnerships when it was Thanksgiving in the Harbor formerly Annual Thanksgiving Feast for the Needy 2009 before A Needy Wilmington was formed and joined the event.

We assist the community of 5000+ since 2008, adults and children with Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings and dessert with clothes, toiletries and other items donated by the community as well as giving a thanksgiving basket and extra food for the holiday break for families and students of Banning High School that don’t or couldn’t attend the event.
We are asking for you to partner with us in our efforts to provide a hot meal and other necessities for those in need. We thank you for your consideration and commitment to the Wilmington Community and your support of our grass-roots movement to address a serious need for food and access to clothing and basic necessities within Wilmington.
