Every movement begins with a moment a moment when you see something and know it can’t stay the same. For us, that moment happened right here in Wilmington.

We saw neighbors struggling families without enough food, children without basic school supplies, seniors feeling forgotten. We saw kindness and resilience, but also unmet needs that couldn’t be ignored. And that’s when the idea for A Needy Wilmington was born.

We started this nonprofit with a simple goal: to fill the gaps. To connect those who want to help with those who need it most. Whether it's a hot meal, clean clothes, or school support, we believe that small acts of generosity can create big change.
